FOUNDATION

On 14th November 1964 Rabindra Nikethan, recognized by the Govt. of A.P, was established by our founder Principal Smt. Renuka Mukherjee on the model of Gurudev Tagore’s Shanti Niketan to provide comprehensive and holistic education to the downtrodden and underprivileged children of the society with the following objectives:

a) To establish an educational institution to educate boys and girls up to higher secondary. The medium of instruction shall be English.
Hindi, Telugu and Bengali shall be taught as first and second languages.
b) To impart quality education to the needy and poor students who belong to economically backward sections of the society with scholarships and other benefits.
c) To inculcate social and moral values, which when ingrained within a broad and balanced curriculum, help to promote confidence, direction, and critical thinking and analytical skills, leading to the development of well-adjusted, adaptable and integrated personalities.

Today the institution offers education from the kindergarten level to the high school level. Students here develop their own abilities and talents, and discover their teaming potential to the fullest, which is reached in an invigorating and competitive atmosphere, created by exposure and guidance provided by a highly qualified and dedicated faculty. Our activities include:

OUR GOAL

Upgradation of Rabindra Niketan into a Junior College as per the growing demands to provide a platform for underprivileged students to compete with those of the public school.

With the continuous patronage of the people of Hyderabad and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Rabindra Niketan hopes to serve the education and cultural life of Hyderabad with greater effectiveness
